Conflict Coaching

I can support you in finding a way through times of conflict and challenge

What is conflict coaching?

Coaching is an interactive process in which the coach supports the client to make progress towards identified goals.

The client enters into the process voluntarily and with a desire and willingness to make changes, so an open mind is essential!

Conflict coaching specifically empowers individuals to navigate successfully and confidently through periods of change and challenge in order to achieve a more balanced, peaceful and fulfilling life.

How can I help you?

If you are experiencing unresolved conflict, coaching might help to improve your situation by;

  • Allowing you to feel fully listened to and supported in exploring the reality of the situation, without judgement
  • Exploring and identifying the most pressing issues and ways to potentially move forward
  • Reminding you that there are alternatives to the current situation
  • Helping you to generate different ways of managing the conflict or preventing future conflict from escalating
  • Enabling consideration of communication styles and ways in which to strengthen them
  • Empowering you to find acceptance and to move on from the situation
  • Developing self-care and stress management strategies, and foster resilience during conflict
  • Supporting you to identify your personal conflict style and gain perspective of the styles of others
  • Preparing you for a difficult conversation or prior to mediation

I will offer you a supportive, confidential space to explore and embrace your vulnerabilities and challenges, to recognise your beliefs and values, as well as identity, strengths, hopes, goals, and purpose, in order to instigate sustainable, long-term and positive change.

In my role as your coach, I will be non-judgemental and non-directive, as I stand firm in the knowledge that you have the creativity, resourcefulness and means to find the answers that are right for you, and to make them actionable.

What I offer

I work on a 1:1 basis and offer a range of coaching options – from stand-alone sessions to block bookings, both online and in person. My coaching style is calm, reflective and kind, but I may gently challenge you to consider all perspectives and options so that you get the very best from your sessions.

What people say

I have had a few sessions with Polly now and she is so approachable. We have a great rapport and I feel very happy sharing everything and anything with her.

Her questions are also great. Open ended and thought provoking. They have helped me see things in a different way and I locked potential that I never thought I had.

If you are thinking of working with Polly, you really must – she is a great coach!

George Bullard, Sept 2023

I have been struggling with a dilemma for around a year now, so it was a huge relief to talk this through with Polly in a measured and structured way.

Polly’s warm and calm approach and questioning helped me to begin to break down the problem into manageable parts, and it was particularly helpful to focus on actions to progress the matter.

Martha Monday, November 2023

I have had six sessions of coaching with Polly, and I have found the experience to be transformative in many ways. I have felt a great sense of empathy from Polly in our sessions and have always left feeling empowered and motivated from the session. Polly’s style is relaxed and conversational and I have always felt at ease to have an open and honest dialogue, at times on challenging issues. I have always felt heard and seen by Polly and am grateful for the safe space our coaching sessions have provided. I have enjoyed the new discoveries I am making about myself and I feel that Polly has supported my personal growth. I’m looking forward to future coaching sessions with Polly and would recommend Polly to anyone.

Expressing my challenges was initially a struggle, but Polly skilfully picked up on my sentiments and provided a thoughtful summary. Throughout our session she encouraged me to think creatively and find solutions that would be favourable for both myself and the other person involved. Polly created a safe space for me to openly share my experiences, instilling a positive ‘can do’ attitude that has increased my confidence in approaching similar situations moving forwards.
